Dr Stephen Harden is a consultant in cardiothoracic radiology at University Hospital Southampton, UK, having been appointed in 2005. His consultant clinical radiology practice includes cardiac and thoracic cross-sectional imaging and PET/CT.
Dr Harden has been President of the Royal College of Radiologists since September 2025. As RCR President, he leads the organisation which represents Clinical Radiologists and Clinical Oncologists in all four nations of the United Kingdom. The RCR’s role is to advocate for and speak on behalf of its specialties to government and stakeholders, to provide and supervise education and postgraduate exams and to set professional standards of practice.

Lawrence Tallon is the Chief Executive Officer of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). He was previously Deputy Chief Executive at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where he led the Trust’s approach to strategy, technology, innovation and improvement. He has extensive experience across the healthcare sector in strategy and leadership roles, including within the Department of Health and Social Care alongside ministers and NHS leaders.
Lawrence is committed to patient safety and healthcare innovation, as well as life sciences and risk-proportionate regulation.
